We'd like to start this post off with something we just read in a press release:

As none other than the New York Times recently reported, Philadelphia's newspaper situation is experiencing a bit of an upswing, or at least a comfortable plateau, compared to the state of things during the vomit-inducing dissipation of Knight-Ridder's ability to hang on to the Inquirer and the Daily News, not to mention the 30 other papers it was forced to sell off last year. Open to the public by appointment only, the Collection contains gowns, jackets, and other articles of clothing from the 1870s through the 1990s. Every item in the collection was donated by Philadelphians. When a tour is scheduled, the pieces are pulled from their climate controlled area and acid-proof boxes, put onto mannequins, and stuffed into a room smaller than Phillyist's own living room.

Over the last few days, Phillyist has breathed a sigh of relief that we no longer have the embarrassment of Terrell Owens hanging over our heads. No more impromptu, shirtless press conferences in his driveway, no more fist fights with his teammates, no more anything. Alas, the likes of Jesse Jackson and Ralph Nader have conspired against us -- both have called on the Eagles to turn the other cheek and let Owens back into the fold...or at least release him.

We're number one! We're number one! For election fraud, anyway.
