Here's what went down in the 215 blogs this week, with some unintentional emphasis on cheesesteaks. Dan Gross at the Daily News Philly Gossip blog spilled the latest pseudo-celebrity gossip: cheesesteak mogul Tony Luke Jr. has landed a starring role as a boxer in upcoming film The Nail, set to start shooting in South Philly May 20. We can't wait to have our streets blocked off for camera crews and craft services. In other cheesesteak......

There must be something in the Cheez Whiz, since Rick Oliveri, the owner of Rick’s Philly Steaks in Reading Terminal Market, is again in some hot water. This one hasn't gotten as much press, but we're pretty excited about it, too. The story: Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell) attends a performance by talented and popular magician Eisenheim (Edward Norton) with his intended (Jessica Biel), hoping......

You know what news is, and you're obviously familiar with blogs, but have you heard of Norg? It's an "unconference" that met at the Annenberg School of Communication right here in our own little city this past weekend. The purpose? To discuss the future of the news. What format will it be in? How will it be delivered? Can newspapers survive? Interesting stuff. Aren't you glad Philly (and Phillyist - we are part of......

The latest New York magazine has a feature on cheap eats in the Big Apple... with a special article about Philly cheesesteaks. That's right - New Yorkers are hungry for cheesesteaks, and several sandwich places have popped up in New York claiming to offer the real thing. According to the article, New York cheesesteaks are just as good as their Philly counterparts - though the authors give the Tony Luke's Manhattan outpost a mere 2.5......
