- Richard Powell's The Philadelphian - known to many of us only in its cinematic form, The Young Philadelphians (the book's been out of print for ages) - is being re-released in a 50th anniversary edition.
- City Magazine has partnered with Capogiro to offer readers a chance to design and win their own custom pint of gelato. Seems like a chilly time of year to be conferring over frozen confections, but we're a sucker for the gelato at Capogiro, so we might give it a whirl.

Are you young? Do you like art? How about things that are free? Well, the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Art Museum have invited us to invite you to a gallery reception they're hosting at the Ashley Gallery (718 North 3rd Street) on Thursday the 18th at 5:30 p.m. The Young Friends bill themselves as "a dynamic group of young professionals who support a number of Museum initiatives," and who participate in and arrange a variety of art-related events.
This is not about the upcoming performance of some members of The Hooters at the World Cafe later this week (although that's pretty cool, too). This post is about how this upcoming Easter Sunday you too can rise from the dead.
