It isn't for a little while now, when the weather will hopefully be a little bit warmer (although Phillyist makes no promises to that end), but we figured that the POPPED! festival, April 9-15, needs to be on your radar already.

Tonight at International House, there will be a screening of The War Tapes, a documentary about the war in Iraq which includes footage filmed by several soldiers. (You can check out the trailer here.)
follows a handful of Oberlin college students between 1964 and 1972, recounting their ancedotal reactions to the changing political and social atmosphere scenes, with cast members switching between a small variety of roles as: protestors, soldiers, radio DJs, concerned parents, and students less focused on the fate of the world and more focused on their GPA.
is a "documentary theatre piece" which depicts the point of view of 100 students of Oberlin College between 1969 and 1974.
This week's quote comes directly from Lord Byron himself, as we honor him with the first listing of the week. Although possessing of a clubfoot and a thing for his half-sister, Byron still managed to be England's most eligible bachelor of his day. Looking at the portrait on the left, we can kinda see it. http://www.fox.com/reunion/">Reunion, which is a new twist on the old six-good-looking-young-friends theme. The tagline is: "In 1986 they were best of friends. By 2005, one will be murdered. All will be suspects." Each episode is another year, and the characters go from age 18 to 38 during the course of the season. It's an interesting concept, but it sounds like it would make a better movie than TV series—how could they possibly make a second season? The creators of Reunion deserve some props for originality, so this one might be worth checking out.
