We kind of love the Edgar Allan Poe House on 7th and Spring Garden, where the writer lived from 1838-1844. We love it because some of our favorite pieces of his work, including Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque, were published while he lived there. Local actress, director, and former General Manager of the Vagabond Acting Troupe Jackie Kay Knox was tragically killed in a car accident yesterday morning. Few other details are available at this time. The Friends Center at 15th and Cherry is getting a $12.5-million green renovation that will free it of its reliance on fossil fuels.
