  • The union that represents faculty and coaches at the 14 state-owned universities in Pennsylvania has voted overwhelmingly to strike "if contract negotiations with the State System of Higher Education break down." Current contracts expire June 30, so the earliest strike date would be July 1. Here's hoping negotiations go well!

  • The other guy you have to look out for is a clean-shaven man (a police sketch is supposedly available, but is for some reason not included in the Daily News article) who robbed and raped a woman near the R8 Olney SEPTA Station last Friday.     Subway Rapist Still on the Loose

    Phillyist urges you to be careful when riding SEPTA - a 24 year old woman was brutally raped and beaten early yesterday morning at the Chinatown Broad Street line station. Her attacker has not yet been caught.
