There's nothing like sex and murder to take one's mind off the economy, and today's story is perhaps one of the better scandals we've reported on.

We know it's hard, keeping up with all the political corruption our city has to offer. Toss in worrying about the presidential election, and it's no wonder few of us have the energy to keep abreast of local scandals. Never fear! In the case of Papa Vince, City Paper has you covered. Tom Namako is blogging and twittering the Fumo Trial over at Fumogation. With cross-linking galore, you'll stay in the loop, and be able to speak with confidence about the Sprague factor over the water cooler.

Rumor has it that a certain Philadelphia personality accused of sticking his nose where it didn't belong was doing it not out of professional jealousy, but romantic jealousy. If this is true, and Phillyist is not saying that it is, the scandal makes a lot more sense.

Phillyist was just informed (thanks, Neal) that for years, public officials in the dry town of Colwyn (in Delaware County) used most of the area's firehouse as a makeshift bar, under the auspices of it being a "social club."

  • Who will really decide the outcome of Pennsylvania's April 22nd primary: the voters, or the delegates? Perhaps the real answer is the gays! Meanwhile, Obama had fun with the college crowd at Penn State.
  • We recently reported on Jim McGreevey and his soon-to-be ex-wife Dina Matos McGreevey's three-way sex parties (aka "Friday night specials"), a story leaked by one of the ex-governor's ex-aides (sense a theme here?). While Dina vehemently denies the allegations, Jim has admitted that the trysts took place. Obviously, one of them is lying—but which one? Our money is on Dina, who stands to lose about $600,000 if her claim that the ex-gov defrauded her by hiding his homosexuality proves to be false.

The following is a transcript of the Governor's speech.

Not content to sit idly by while New York's elected leaders have all the illicit fun (albeit with a Jersey girl), Jersey's been brewing another scandal of its own. Remember how Jim McGreevey came out as a "gay American" and his wife purported to be as shocked as the rest of us? Well, it turns out that may have been just an act, because apparently she'd had three-ways with her husband and another man prior to moving into the governor's mansion. Yes, you heard right—the McGreeveys were allegedly getting it on with one of Mr. McGreevey's former aides, one Theodore Pedersen. Pedersen says he only had sex with Dina Matos McGreevey, who claimed she missed the signs that her husband was gay. We're wondering why the whole wanting to be naked with another man thing didn't tip her off.
