If you’ve got nothing to do tonight, or if you’ve got something to do, but want better plans, head over to the Gordon Theater, and check out DJ Spooky’s self-proclaimed “digital exorcism”: “Rebirth of a Nation.”

  • Two state Senators held their third hearing Wednesday on the possibility of convening a constitutional convention for the reform of state government, and they did it at U. Penn Law School. • David Blaine: Drowned Alive (Mon; 8PM-10PM; ABC) - Remember when David Blaine was the cool new magician? Now he's just that freak who performs ridiculous stunts and everybody hates him. Seriously, people throw things at him. How did this happen? We really wonder. Anyway, this time Blaine is trying to break the standing record for amount of time holding your breath under water, which is just under nine minutes. The special also features his prep for the stunt, and some other illusions. If you don't hate him quite that much, or you do and you're hoping to see him die, go ahead and tune in. (Official site)

Big props to Rutgers University Camden. They're bringing musical whiz kid Ben Folds to rock the suburb – literally. Ben's bringing his show to the Collingswood Scottish Rite Auditorium (accessible by PATCO and a bit of foot power for those of you in the city) at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night. Reports out of the Baltimore Ben Folds show say it's a must-see, especially if you're a fan.
