Last time that Dan Aykroyd did anything of note in Philadelphia, he was running around with Eddie Murphy trying to keep two old dudes from cornering the entire frozen orange juice market. You'd think it would take him less than 26 years to figure out that orange juice is always made better by vodka (or champagne, but that's beside the point), but unlike Louis Winthorpe III, Aykroyd isn't a Harvard man, so we can't blame him. While the timing may be a little off, Dan Aykroyd is finally bringing booze to the party he started in Philly all those years ago—his own Crystal Head Vodka, to be exact. Aykroyd will be signing some of the awesomely-shaped Crystal Head skull bottles at the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Store at 1218 Chestnut today from 4 to 6 p.m. If you swing by to get s bottle signed, be sure to ask him about pork bellies. He might not know, but his friend Eddie might have given him some advice before his trip.

Okay, so I've hated on the PLCB and state stores before. And I still think the system is very, very flawed. But once in a while, there's a surprise gem in the Chairman's Selection section.
