We bring you the buzz from the 215 blogosphere this week.

UPDATE: Philly Future posted a pretty comprehensive list of livebloggers from Day 1. We want you to read Phillyist's coverage, of course, but you should check out some of the other sites, too.

Weekend's here, so most bloggers will be taking it light for the next two days. That's because most people blog from work while they're supposed to be getting things done. Yeah you. You know you do it too.

Just in case y'all hadn't heard, there's a bloggers meet-up this afternoon. Yeah, it's St. Patricks Day, and yeah you should wear green. Plus it's at Ten Stone.

Little-known fact: There are a hell of a lot of blogs in Philly. While we here try to hold our own, there are a lot of good stories out there just waiting to be read from around the Philly blog community. Here are a few that popped up throughout the week. Go ahead, check it out, we won't get jealous. Just come on back here when you're good and ready. We'll have cookies and soy milk waiting.*

(For more details, and the Big Hollywood Speech finish, you can visit the original post over on Philly Future.)

The 700Level (by way of Philadelphia Will Do) informs us that this weekend, EverQuest II will allow users try and challenge an online, in game version of "Curt Schilling." Defeat Schilling, and Sony Online will donate $5 to the ALS association.

- By way of Philly Future, we find that phillyskyline.com invited local university students to give their views on their respective campuses (literally).

expose that demonstrates just how easy it is to get a gun (or two) in Philly.

Eschaton points towards news that Big Brother may have been paying more attention than any of us thought.

- Phreaking Philly has conceived of a way for the Phillies to make money from their infamously unsportsmanlike fans - "Pay-Per-Boo." Genius!

- PhillyBits has a few words say about the President's self-proclaimed best and worst moments in his presidency. (And really, when the best moment of a president's term has to do with a recreational pursuit, few words are necessary.)

Though April showers may come your way, they bring the bloggers that post in May...

It's been a hard week for Philly kids:

- Are local Dems concerned about the proliferation of untried candidates running for office? Albert Yee thinks so. Here's why.

What's on Philly's blogging mind:

is holding a casting call this Thursday at the CBS 3 studios at 5th and Market. Ex-American Idol wanna-bes, and now this.  Can we take this much reality?
  • Is Philadelphia the new Silicon Valley?  We only ask because we came across a pair of breast implant-related posts yesterdays. First, D-Mac tipped us off about the Borgata sexual harasment case - which, among the complaints, alleges that supervisors at the Borgata encouraged their female employees to get breast implants.  Soon afterwards we came across this casting call on Craigslist and noticed that for the "busty" role, Silicon breasts are "preferred."  Phillyist hopes this isn't the start of a Philly-centric breast augmentation trend.  We shudder to imagine the Rodin collection redone with fake knockers.
  • Speaking of body-parts, we'd like to thank Dan Rubin for the most nightmare inducing beginning to a blog post this week: "Hundreds of Americans are walking around with pieces of dead people inside them."  Fortunately, the story didn't turn out to be as

  • Alright, ladies and gentleman; we know it's cold outside. We know it's very tempting to stay home, drink hot chocolate, turn the heat up and bask in the cold UV glow on the Internet. And whereas surfing the world wide web might be the highlight of our weekend (ours is a sad, sad, life) some of you might want to put down the mouse, put on your coat, and make your way to Fergie's Pub (1214 Sansom Street) on Saturday at 3PM for the monthly Philly Bloggers's Meetup. Philly Future Event Czar (and Meetup organizer) Blankbaby promises it'll be "a hoot." And if not, you can spend your time trying to determine whether it's better blogger meetup ettiquette to introduce yourself with your real name, your blog's name, your online name, or just your URL.

The Cira Centre - that impressive looking building across the street from 30th Street Station - held its grand opening on Monday night. We're not exactly sure what they did, but since the building was lit up blue and green, we can only assume they were watching the Eagles do everything in their power to lose to the Cowboys on Monday night. Fortunately, no jumps were reported after the game. That probably would have been a downer.

We're back for more Philadelphia blogosphere, this week featuring some familiar subjects (Philly Future! Albert Yee!) and some not-so-familiar subjects (Fiona Apple! Jennifer Weiner! JOHNNY GOODTIMES!)

Project H.O.M.E., an organization dedicated to ending Philadelphia's cycle of poverty and homelessness, will be holding their inaugural Young Friends Event tonight in Great Hall at the University of the Arts from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

City Councilman Rick Mariano, a local politician who has had federal indictment rumors swirling about him recently, climbed onto a ledge and City Hall tonight and threatened to commit suicide. He was talked down from the ledge by Mayor John Street and Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson.

We know it can be intimidating to step into that vast pool that is the Philadelphia blogosphere. Being the kind people we are, we'll do it for you. Here's a round-up of some of the things happening around the web:

Matt at Philly Future pointed us to the Free Library of Philadelphia web site, which is now sporting a new look.

Between the buyouts and the ridiculously large amounts of food in Philadelphia, bloggers have had their hands full. Here's today's look at the Philadelphia blogosphere:

We came, we saw, we wasted time at work. Here's a look at the ever growing Philly blogosphere:
