Yo, Philly in the News

  • Kids from Philadelphia area high schools have been in the news a lot lately. First we heard that students from West Philadelphia High School had built a fast, fuel-efficient car that runs on soybean bio-diesel fuel (0-60 in 4 seconds, and 50 mpg, thank you very much) and got to show it off at the Philadelphia Auto Show. (Via) Now we've heard that teams from Norristown High School and Gwynedd-Mercy Academy tied in a competition to create anti-smoking commercials for MTV, and now both of their commercials will be shown on the network later this year. Awesome.
