That's right, the Soul Patrol is in town. Not really sure if Philadelphia needs any more soul, but I guess we can decide that tonight. I'll be honest, I am not really a fan of Taylor Hicks. I didn't vote for him nor do I agree with America that he should have won American Idol's Season 5. He's a good performer and singer, just not an "idol" to me. His part of the show should......

With the upcoming release of Memory Man on March 13th, Aqualung is touring the Eastern U.S., stopping at the World Cafe Live on March 10th at 7:30pm. You might think that Aqualung is a band of some sort but it's really just one Englishman - Matt Hales - making beautiful music. Hales calls his music, "truthful, articulate, candid, poetic, sometimes beautiful and occasionally a bit strange." Just what we like. He writes, performs, sings......

About a month ago, Phillyist was reading People Magazine while on the train to New York. Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay was interviewed about her pregnancy and said two things she looked forward to about not being pregnant were the ability to take hot baths and eat sushi (probably not simultaneously). Now, we didn't know about the bath thing, but we looked it up and discovered that water over ninety-eight degrees is......

...Name Game: Fresh off the news that Tom Cruise invented a new Hebrew word comes the news that he's renamed Katie Holmes. She will now be "Kate." Because "Katie" sounds too young for a "child-bearing woman." Shudder. (Via The Superficial.) ...Child-Pimping: Tom Cruise released photos of himself with adopted son (with ex-wife Nicole Kidman) Conor via the AP and Reuters. Tom Cruise really wants this movie to do well, and he's willing to put his......

(Via The Superficial) ...Fan Base Betrayal: Katie Couric is leaving NBC's Today Show for the anchor seat at CBS's Evening News. Soccer moms everywhere plan protest. (Via CNN.com) ...Surprise! ...Eeewwww: Teri Hatcher and Ryan Seacrest were caught... Please, don't make us finish that sentence. (Via Us Weekly.) ...Skank: Mariah Carey doesn't believe in underwear. Warning: NSFW images follow. (Via The Superficial.) ...Scientology: That's three weeks in a row that we've had a Scientology-related story to report: Katie Holmes has had six-foot high signs reminding her to be completely still and silent during childbirth delivered to the home she shares with Tom Cruise, as distress......

...Stupid: This isn't a stupid celebrity, so much as a stupid fan. A Kanye West fan showed up at the artist's Birmingham, England show sans ticket and decided that the best way to get into the concert would be by firing at the security guards in his way. (Via E! Online) ...Awesome: Sheryl Crow's prognosis is "excellent" after her breast cancer surgery last week. Ex-fiance Lance Armstrong, himself a cancer survivor, is confident that she......
