The Sixers spanked the Knicks (124-84) on Wednesday night at the Wach. Tonight they will be in Orlando, then they’ll turn around and host the Magic on Wednesday at 7PM (get tickets or watch here). Here’s hoping that’ll be two for two. Tomorrow they’ll match up with the Miami Heat, against whom they are 2-0 this season.

The Drexel hoopsters had a rough week. The men (9-12, 2-7) dropped an overtime game at home to William & Mary last Wednesday, then got whooped by VCU on the road. The women (10-8, 5-2) saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end with an overtime loss of their own, against Towson. Then they couldn't seal the deal against William & Mary, and ended up giving up a late lead to lose their second straight. The women will have a good chance to bounce back this week, though, going on the road to the CAA cellar-dwellers: Northeastern tomorrow night, then Hofstra Sunday afternoon. Maybe the men will get a couple win as well, as they're playing a couple teams as bad as they are: at Georgia State tonight, then hosting Northeastern late Saturday afternoon. After snapping their losing streak, the Sixers face off against the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night at 7PM at the Wachovia Center (get tickets or watch); Monday they’ll host the Indiana Pacers at 2PM at the Wach. (get tickets or watch)

The Sixers weren’t able to pull it out against the Bulls, losing with a disappointing 100-97 score. Unfortunately it seems the Inqy is right: they’re not such a great team this year.

How cruel of the Eagles to win on Monday night, pulling us all back into the hunt for the playoffs like that. Why did they have to beat a Panthers team expected to win Super Bowl XLI and take their spot in the playoff ladder? Why couldn’t Jeff Garcia have just embarrassed himself and taught coach Andy Reid a lesson for not opting for A.J. Feely? Why did they have to build our hopes back up, only to disappoint us in heartbreaking fashion?

We've read all of the negative columns and blog posts. We've bashed just about every Eagle to our friends. We've listened to WIP so much that we think we'd be better off just flogging ourselves.

Everything seemed a little too familiar during last night's Eagles loss to the Washington Redskins. T.O., as you have undoubtedly heard by now, was suspended without pay, suspended with pay, deactivated or something before last night's game and the Eagles went to work without him. A 56-yard TD reception by Owens replacement Reggie Brown soothed Eagles fans early on, but it didn't last long. The once-dominant Eagles defense missed tackles and let the Washington Redskins have their way with them in the air. In the Before T.O. (B.T.O.) years, the Eagles used to win tight games despite their slow, spread-the-ball offense. Tonight, though, the Redskins played like the Eagles of old with timely offensive plays from various players and solid defense.
