This past Sunday, I was at the Museum of Anthropology at Penn for a show that I’m stage managing. For the most part, this requires me to sit on the side of our “stage” (the Lower Egypt exhibit) and wait for one of the actresses to need me to change her shoes. Since the performance happens during regular museum hours, lots of people wander through during the show, sometimes careful not to step on me. Most of the people either don’t talk or are whispering so quietly they can’t hear themselves. But one of the couples who wandered in on Sunday certainly had no qualms with talking at full volume.
