The good news for the Drexel men (12-19, 5-13) is that, unlike last year, they won't be sitting on the edges of their seats waiting to see if they get an invitation to the Big Dance. The Dragons ended their regular season with a Senior Night win over James Madison before losing on the road at Hofstra. With the regular season over, it's CAA tournament time, and Drexel will open with a matchup against Delaware. The Dragons and Blue Hens split their regular season games. For the women (17-11, 12-5), it was a good week: they posted wins over Towson and George Mason. Two Drexel players also earned individual CAA honors, with Gabriela Marginean being named CAA Player of the Week, and Jasmina Rosseel getting the nod as CAA Rookie of the Week. The women will wrap up their regular season at Georgia State tomorrow night.

This week's quote comes from Tom Stoppard, who said in an interview: "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's – there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." Now, on with the listings!

Wherever you stand on the “Putting Christ Back in Christmas” issue, the simple fact of the matter is that I’m a Jew who loves Christmas. I can easily chalk that up to the fact that I’ve got a [lapsed] Catholic father, but in truth, my mom probably loves Christmas more than my father does. She’s the one who taught me all the Christmas carols.

With apologies to those readers who don't celebrate Christmas, I'm going to indulge myself a bit here. I love just about everything about Christmas. I actually enjoy Christmas shopping, stressful though it may be. (Which reminds me of the one thing I really don't love about Christmas: my January credit card bill.) I love all kinds of Christmas music, classical, the Bing Crosby standards, and Christmas rock. I also (Amazon).

The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment. Filter has released their list of the overall Top Ten Albums of 2007, as well as a bunch of supplementary top 10 albums by their staff. Mostly unsurprising indie rock of the moment picks, but some interesting stuff. And hey these remind us of other lists we've seen lately... Paris Hilton, former celebutante/party girl/homemade video star and now alcoholic elephant advocate (thanks to Jim, Ross, and Sarah for that one) is releasing a new perfume called CAN CAN. (Get it? Because that's something they do in Paris. But then, so is this.) To celebrate, the formerly constipated jailbird will be at Macy's Center City today – and you can meet her! All you have to do is be one of the first 200...
