On Sept. 19 The Rosenbach Museum & Library introduces 130 new works from its vast Maurice Sendak collection in its exhibition There's a Mystery There: Sendak on Sendak, replacing all 130 items which have been on display since the exhibition opened in May 2008.
Though Maurice Sendak may be best known for writing and illustrating the beloved children’s book Where the Wild Things Are, many of his now grown-up fans may be surprised to hear his alternate universe of monsters and scrappy kids exploring dark forests and city streets has been featured in over a hundred books, along with television shows and stage plays.
