Texas is thawing, the Northeast is freezing, and a sort of natural order seems almost restored to the Ist-A-Verse. Almost.

As 2006 ends and 2007 begins, the -ists look back not at the past week, but at the past year. So here it is, your Best of 2006 Spectacular. And from all of us at the -ists, happy New Year!

Believe it or not, Philadelphia isn't the only city with blogs. So, we decide to take a look around the world, examining their every blog and choosing the best posts. Coincidentally, they all came from within the Gothamist network. Can you imagine that? Craziness.

If you haven't noticed, we're kinda obsessed with SEPTA here at Phillyist. But really, who isn't? Our loveable mass transit system is a great resource for an easy joke and limited transportation around the city.
