, a new(ish) magazine that had recently moved its headquarters to the City of Brotherly Love. We've since grown to really dig the magazine and the issues it tackles—specifically, addressing the problems faced by urban areas and then discussing how to make cities better for generations to come.

Started in 1999 as a collective underground effort to launch DJ Logic, Ropeadope is an online clothing company, indie record label and news source. Tonight, at the World Cafe Live, the launch of Ropeadope Digital, an exclusive label imprint, is being celebrated with performances by BurnDown All Stars, Electric City, and Aunt Jessica.

It's First Friday—also known to us as the most wonderful time of the month. Public drunkenness is never more fun—or acceptable—in Old City. (Even on Saturday nights. Seriously.)

What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

We've pimped them before and we'll pimp them again: the Quake kids, led by our very own Jessica Haralson, are hosting a preview party this evening for the first issue of their new erotic literary magazine, the first of its kind at Penn. The magazine follows in the footsteps of Harvard's infamous H-Bomb and Boston University's Boink (read an interview with Boink co-founder Christopher Anderson at Bostonist).
