Phillyist told you a while back about how Philly Car Share was gearing up to offer you more than just reliable transportation. If you were planning on looking into this, tonight is your night.

We submit, not much. And check it out, there's one going on tomorrow, Saturday the 21st! It's The Clark Park Picnic and Mid-Fall Music Festival, and it's happening in Clark Park's lower bowl at 43rd and Chester in West Philly from 11:30AM-7PM. Like we said, the event is free, but if you shell out $20 you can also get access to an all-you-can-eat barbecue featuring food and beverages by some of Philly's most skilled chefs, with part of the proceeds going to improvement of the park. "Blah blah blah," you're saying, "but who's playing?!" Well, a number of Philly locals, for one. Early acts include Adrienne Hamilton, The GetArounds, and Kiss Kiss Kill. DJ Joey Prajna will be spinning records between acts from 1PM on. The later, bigger acts include Paul Edelman and the Jangling Sparrows, Adam Arcuragi, Himalaya, Enon, and King Britt. We're particularly excited about Enon, because they rock. Anyway, for more info check out UCityPhila.org, ClarkPark.info, or call 215-243-0555.

Ah, the Trocadero - is there anything it can't do? It's a burlesque house, a concert hall, and, once a week, a movie theater. For a $3 fee (which can be applied towards concessions), you can see movies on their big screen. Phillyist is pretty sure this is the only movie theater in town where you can drink and smoke while you talk back at the screen. Next showing will be Monday the 14th, when The Troc will be screening . The Troc is located at 1003 Arch Street, and Movie Monday's start at 8PM.

Office drones looking to make a mid-day escape on their lunch-break may want to check out local radio station WXPN's (88.5) Free At Noon Concert Series each Friday (here's a surprise) . The performances take place downstairs at the World Cafe (3025 Walnut Street) and frugal friendly box lunches are available for purchase ($6 for Students and Members, $8 for Non-Members).

Welcome to Frugal in Philly, a weekly celebration of all things Philly that are fun, frugal (costing $10 or less) or free! Stop here each week to see what Philly's got to offer for those of us who haven't quite mastered the art of becoming Independently Wealthy.
