The Phils won their weekend series with the San Francisco Giants on a fielding error and Ryan Howard's chugging frog splash into home. Philadelphia starts a four game set tonight with the Arizona Diamondbacks, who hold the best record in the majors.
To paraphrase a famous quote from Woodstock, don't take the green Zone 2 May TrailPass! Even if somebody does offer it to you for cheap. All 13,800 of the passes were stolen in February, so SEPTA had them all reprinted in black and white, and all green passes are being confiscated.
In other Philly sports news, boy our fans sure gave it to Barry Bonds Friday night, bless their hearts. Bonds is approaching Babe Ruth's record, but is widely rumored to have used steroids. Thus fans held signs like the one above, and others simply displaying asterisks, and chanted things like, "Just inject me." Perhaps not coincidentally, Bonds went 0 for 3. Oh, and the Phillies won, too. Woo hoo!

We check I Can Has Cheezburger daily, we frequently go to restaurants in Fairmount just so we have an excuse to stop and look at the kitties in the window at Fairmount Pet Shoppe, and we cried at the tragic end to Saturday's Kentucky Derby. A couple months ago, when we were liveblogging the Barking Beauty pageant, we met some of the good folks from Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, better known as PAWS, who share our love of animals. Our new friends will be having a big event in Manayunk on Saturday called PAWS on Main, which we'll tell you more about later in the week.
