We've never heard Kelly Drive referred to with an article before its name, but we kind of like it.

  • Police are still searching for the rapist or rapists who have been terrorizing the Frankford section of Philadelphia. A man was arrested Saturday in a kidnapping and sex assault, but police don't believe he's connected to the other incidents.
  • For those days when you feel like taking a leisurely bike ride down Kelly Drive, but don't feel like putting in the actual energy to do so, here's a video for you.

  • Yesterday was Unity Day in Philadelphia, the 28th occurrence of this yearly event celebrating families and community pride, featuring dozens of free musical performances. Unfortunately, Unity Day also means lots of road closings: MLK Drive, Kelly Drive around the art museum, and the Ben Franklin Parkway from Eakins Oval to 20th were all closed until 9PM. Hope you found your way to where you needed to go anyway...
  • - A local 13 & 14 year old have been arrested for being at the center of a crack-cocaine ring in the Frankford area of the city. Kingpins just get younger and younger these days.

    If you'll be around Ridge Avenue or Kelly Drive today, look sharp. Danny Lasko, a former Marine corporal who hails from near Easton, will be cycling in the area as part of the Soldier Ride National Tour. Lasko lost part of his left leg during a grenade attack in Afghanistan in April 2004. The Tour began in Los Angeles on May 21 and will end July 19 in Montauk.
