Performances: That's Why They Don't Call It a Picnic (Vagabond Acting Troupe) (Future Showtimes); The Milky Way Cabaret (The Cardboard Box Collaborative) (Future Showtimes) I haven't added everything up yet, but by the time this year's Festival is over, I will have seen at least twenty shows. But that's only a small fraction of the shows going on, and there are plenty that, given infinite time and resources, I wish I could've fit on my......

Phillyist saw a lot of shows at this year's Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe. A. Lot. Of. Shows. Thirty, to be exact. And we just got word from Megan at Canary Promotions that we're not the only ones who were getting fringetastic this year. The Festival(s) saw a ten percent increase in ticket sales—about three-quarters of a million dollars in tickets, to be exact. (It's pretty impressive when you remember how much of......

Performances: Crazy Gary's Mobile Disco (Inis Nua Theatre Group) (Future performances); House (Kate Watson-Wallace) (Future performances sold out). I almost feel like I should have gotten a monthly SEPTA pass for the Festival. I have covered more ground in the last seven days than I normally do in a month. Fortunately, after last weekend's deluge, the weather has been pleasant enough that if I get an early start, I can walk. And if I don't,......

Performances: P's & Q's (Lee Etzold and MyKindaPony) (Future performances); Eye-95 re-tarred (BRAT Productions) (Future performances). I took a two-day breather that wasn't really a breather at all, after my nine-in-three weekend, and jumped right back on the saddle with two shows yesterday, two today, two tomorrow, two Saturday, and (maybe) two Sunday. I love being "press." P's & Q's OMG, a show about manners! OMG OMG! Okay, now that that's out of the way.........

Well, well, well. Week two of DanceBOOM! is under way, and Phillyist is even more excited after this week's show than we were after last week's. Ann Marie Mulgrew & Dancers weren't exactly what I was expecting, and I lied to you (not on purpose) about their start time -- but I'm going to blame both of those facts on the promise of the rain that never came, as the performance was supposed to be......

Last Week, Phillyist went to the Wilma to see DanceBOOM!, and we really had fun. Tonight through Saturday (and Wednesday through Friday of next week -- but we'll talk about that next week), DanceBOOM! continues with a brand-new line-up, and Phillyist will be there again! Tonight, Ann Marie Mulgrew & Dancers will get everything started with a pre-performance at around seven. Then at eight, the fun will move into the theatre for performances by BalletX......
