Yasha Butler's designs are, for lack of a better word, awesome. Ceramicist Butler is a Turkish transplant who has found a home, and a studio, in our great city (she also keeps a studio in Turkey!). She started out with simple, organic clay pots and bowls and has more recently delved into the world of jewelry. Her jewelry is absolutely fantastic. She, fittingly, calls it bone jewelry. The earrings and necklaces are decorated with single white porcelain pendants that she has manipulated in a very organic way. They're almost ghostly. Be sure to check out her website/blog or visit her stuff at the Mew Gallery or The Clay Studio.
