The Inquirer is checking in with Republican candidate for mayor (and a sure bet to lose the election) Al Taubenberger. Al doesn't have many illusions about his chances, but he also says, "I've got nothing to lose."
The union that represents faculty and coaches at the 14 state-owned universities in Pennsylvania has voted overwhelmingly to strike "if contract negotiations with the State System of Higher Education break down." Current contracts expire June 30, so the earliest strike date would be July 1. Here's hoping negotiations go well!
