The Pennsylvania Office of Tourism doesn't want the tough economic times we've been having to keep people from visiting the state. And we don't want the easy meteorological times we had today to make you forget that it is, in fact, still winter. So, as a reminder, check out the conclusion of Punxsutawney Phil's emergence, as envisioned by the folks at the Office of Tourism, with help from local ad firm Red Tettemer. He did, in fact, see his shadow on February 2, which is supposed to mean six more weeks of winter. Although today was beautiful, it looks like we'll have a high under 40 degrees by Saturday, so don't call Phil a liar, after all.

  • The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals voted last month to allow cruelty investigators to carry guns. The vote comes after various officers have been involved in spats with armed animal abusers. Before the agents can carry a weapon, though, they must first undergo training and certification.

It is in fact, the first day of EAGLES TRAINING CAMP!
