Phillyist alumni Jim took his brain where few brains had gone before, guiding his gray matter through a tour of the vicious William Shatners in Shatnerquake. Now you too can fend off evil Kirk, because author Jeff Burk is making the entire novel freely available today on his website (http://www.jeffburk.wordpress.com/) as a download. Why should you download this novel, you ask? Because it is awesome. Bizarre art made freely available is worth it, books about William F'ing Shatner are of course worth supporting, and obviously books featuring societies of Bruce Campbells are everything you need to make your day better. And it's free!

Hey there Phillyist readers. If you’re anywhere near Liberty Place, get out of your cubicle and head on down to the corner of 17th & Chestnut in Center City.
Fun around town, for $10 or less:
A few weeks ago, Phillyist was contacted by the makers of TrueBlue Blueberry Juice. Would we be interested in sampling their wares, they asked. Never the kind of person to turn down free stuff, this particular Phillyist gladly accepted the offer. I assumed that I'd get a single-serving bottle or two to sample. A week later, I was the proud recipient of eight sixty-four ounce bottles—sixty-four servings to share with the Phillyist staff!—of the deep blue juice, which, it turns out, is sweetened with natural cane sugar rather than industry standard high fructose corn syrup.
The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you.

According to some nice young ladies that we met this morning on the corner of 12th and Filbert, this Thursday, August 3rd, is Best of Philly Day, in honor of this week's release of the Philadelphia magazine's Best of Philly issue. And we tend to believe them, because they gave us free stuff. Also, there's a website, and as we all know, everything on the internet is true.
As you may or may not know, this past weekend (3/19-3/21) was Camden Waterfront Attraction Blogging Days, wherein 200 or so local bloggers, having applied and been accepted, were invited to visit, for free, each of the three big Camden Waterfront attractions (the Battleship NJ, Campbell's Field, and the Adventure Aquarium) and blog their fair and unbiased impressions. Phillyist was one of those bloggers, so here's part two of a three-part series covering our weekend adventures.
