You're probably about ready for us to stop talking about the Philadelphia Film Festival now, and indeed that trolley has pretty much pulled out of town, but we thought we'd throw in just one more post, this time discussing the festival's final statistics and awards. You can find the complete list of award-winners on the festival home page, and detailed audience ballot results here. The stats suggest that the festival was more crowd-pleasing than ever this year, as it had a record-breaking attendance level of 66,300, and 52% of the films received audience ratings of "Very Good" or better.

Phillyist remembers fondly from our childhood a random video store rental movie about a crazily-costumed Japanese super hero fighting horrible monsters with his amazing super powers. It was the greatest thing ever. Unfortunately, so many movies and TV shows like this came out of Japan, it's hard to know which one it was we fell in love with, but we're pretty sure it was the crazy Shaw Brothers martial arts fun-fest Infra-Man. That's why we're very excited that Infra-Man is coming to the International House this Saturday, as part of one of Exhumed Films' fantastic double features.

Okay, it's hard to say this, but we've been meaning to for a while, and now's the time: Phillyist doesn't think you're punk enough. There, it's out, and we feel better for it. Whew.

Exhumed Films is invading the International House again, this time with a double feature on the subject of REVENGE. Yes, in all caps, just like that. In fact, the program is entitled REVENGE...Loud as Thunder, Cold as Steel! which we think sounds really cool.
