We didn't make it to Can't Miss This! yesterday, but it's not because we don't love you. We were testing you. Did you notice we weren't here with our daily trio of evening derrings-do? We hope so. MARY SCHOLZ AT TRIUMPH BREWING COMPANY Scholz will play tonight at Triumph Brewing Company. The combination of bar, brewery, restaurant and intimate live performance from a excellent local musician will give your arid May evening a decidedly smooth......

What's new and/or interesting in Philly theaters this weekend. Finishing the Game - We posted the preview for this one a ways back. It's a mockumentary about director Robert Clouse's attempt to finish the film Game of Death after the untimely death of its star, Bruce Lee. In Finishing the Game, Clouse starts a frantic search for an impersonator to replace Lee, and much wackiness and Hollywood satire ensue. Sounds like fun, but keep in......

But they've also stolen money from their gypsy clan, which means the leader is after them. Interesting concept, and......

A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets. It's still Halloween week, so we're going to go ahead and post these vintage ads for kids' costumes from the 1965 Sears Roebuck Christmas catalog. Makes you nostalgic for the days when it was okay to depict a kid flying in a Superman outfit, and not include a "Do Not Attempt" warning. (Via) We recently posted Cinematical's list of the seven worst horror......

New York is trying to cut down on trans fats by restricting local eateries to a mere 0.5 gram of trans fat per serving. Granted, this is Philadelphia, not New York (no one even mention the whole borough thing), but since we followed their lead with the smoking ban - admittedly to limited um, success(?) so far - Phillyist is keeping a close eye on what they're banning in the future. That way we can......
