  • If there's something good coming out of Michael Vick being an Eagle, it's that we're seeing more coverage of Philadelphia's dogfighting problem. Complaints of dogfighting are up, but penalties for the crime are still lagging behind.
  • Apparently the company responsible for building the Dallas Cowboys' field structure that collapsed this weekend, paralyzing one of the team's scouting agents, was responsible for a similar event at Philadelphia's Tioga Marine Terminal a few years ago.
  • The Daily News examines how an alleged DUI killer's outrageous MySpace page is not exactly helping his case. (What a freaking idiot.)
  • Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey will hold six town hall meetings in July. Each public meeting will focus on particular neighborhoods, and residents will be asked about local problems and suggestions on making the areas safer.
  • Londonist are starting to think their city is getting just a little bit too expensive, when even Christian Slater can't afford to go out there. And there's no escaping, as local singer Lily Allen discovered when she was barred entry to the US. The British mapping agency caused further bad karma, by blocking a 3-D representation of London in Google Earth. But the smiles returned to Londonist's faces as they interviewed Baroness von Reichardt, who has completely covered her house in mosaic tiles.

    ...Lindsay Lohan: Last week, we swore we'd never trust Lindsay Lohan again. Here's why: Lohan was booked last week after a Memorial Day drunken-driving incident, but released almost immediately on bail. Only a few days later, and not long after being released from rehab, she was arrested again for DUI and cocaine possession. (Mugshot here.) How was she caught? Oh, by chasing her newly-former personal assistant's mother. Surprise, surprise: Lindsay is professing her innocence, so she's checked back into rehab, probably to try to stem a potential six-year sentence. Needless to say, producers of Lindsay's current projects are not happy – at all.

  • star, following allegations of domestic violence. The presiding judge did not issue the order, but strongly reccommended the two stay apart. We have no real opinion on this matter, since the only thing we think of when we hear Hasselhoff's name is this video. (Via The Associated Press.)
