You know, for something that happens but once a month, First Friday always seems to just sneak up on us. It is, in fact, that time yet again, and we're psyched about some of this month's Old City goings-on.

In the very recent past, Phillyist attended a shindig celebrating the launch of the Philadelphia edition of Daily Candy. Now, even if we had not been wooed with cocktails and shrimp large enough to stick a saddle on (thanks, Nineteen!), we would have wanted to write about this launch.
