To the Writers Guild of America: It's not that I don't support your fight. I do. I've signed your petition. I'm a writer myself, and I'd hate it if I wasn't profiting from my own work. (If I was working in TV or film, that is – bloggers don't exactly earn residuals...) But here's the thing: as I write this, I'm watching a month-old episode of Journeyman. My DVR is 95% full. What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

This week we'd like to congratulate the -ist network's Mother Hen, Gothamist's Jen Chung, who found herself a recipient of Wired Magazine's Wired Rave Award. If that doesn't sound terribly exciting, keep in mind another recipient was J.K. Rowling. Yep, that's right, the -ist network and Harry Potter now have something in common. Go us.

Girls Rock Philly is part of a foundation that works to run summer camps for local girls, ages ten through eighteen, in which they get the opportunity to "make their own band." In the process, they do musical training, while also honing their song writing skills and learning how to design band merchandise. Girls Rock Camp began in Portland, Oregon, in 2000, and this year will be its first summer in Philly.

What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

DVR is supposed to make TV viewing quicker. So when it takes nearly two hours to watch a one hour show, we're thinking something is wrong. Comcast says they'll replace our cable box, but we lose everything saved on our DVR. And that sucks. But hey, at least Comcast doesn't do our internet. And their commercials are at least moderately amusing.

...Insanity: Connie Chung might just be crazy. The best part is where she gets off the piano and grunts like it really takes effort. (We first saw it on , but the video is hosted on YouTube and embedded above.
