UPDATE: Oops! I forgot links! I've added them now, and made a few other tweaks. What's new and/or interesting on TV this week. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer &c. (Tue, 8PM-9PM, CBS) - The extremely odd, but quite lovable, 1964 classic about the reindeer with the glowing red nose, the elf who really wants to be a dentist, a bunch of misfit toys, and the Abominable Snow Monster. CBS is also airing Frosty the Snowman and......

With all that went down this week, we thought we'd cheer everyone up by giving everyone a double dose of dogs. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions this week at DCist. Like the rest of country, we were floored by the news of so many dead coming out of Virginia Tech, and with so many of the victims and their relatives from the D.C. area, we felt it important to pay tribute to those......

...Unavailability: Cheer up, ladies. There are still other fish in the sea! (Via MSNBC.) ...Science: Because clearly a baby's paternity can be determined through her mother's DNA. (Via Playfuls.) ...Addiction: It's Robbie Williams' (remember him?) turn to go to rehab. (Via Yahoo!) ...Weird: We know about the cure because of that episode of Friends, but it's certainly not red carpet behavior. (Via Just Jared.) ...Modesty: Britney Spears has got it in spades. The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you. Heh. Lois Lane is a total whore. So what's the first thing aliens will see when they inevitably approach Earth, curious to discover what type of creatures inhabit this tiny blue planet in the middle of nowhere? The smiling face of Colonel Sanders, that's what! That's right, KFC is now the proud owner of the first logo visible from outer space......

The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you. Every once in a while, Chris's Invincible Super-Blog does a post like this one - which features a picture of a guy willingly having himself thrown at an army of zombie samurai while he is on fire, who is at the same time pulling out two pistols and shooting at said zombie samurai while he's still in the......

A song by Florida band The Cruxshadows, who are on independent Philadelphia record label Dancing Ferret Discs, stole the top spot on Billboard's Dance Single Sales chart last week from Beyonce and Jay-Z. Nice! Apparently even the folks at Dancing Ferret were taken a bit by surprise. The Cruxshadows' number one song is an industrial-electronic dance track called "Sophia." Their lead singer calls himself Rogue and they just had a big show at DragonCon in......

As we sat down to write this week's Best of the -ists post, a car blaring "21 Questions'" passed by our house. And that started us thinking about how some of the best -ist posts out there have at their hearts questions, some of which are answered, and some of which are left open. Check out the Best of the -ists from this week, and see if you agree. Londonist answers the questions "How......

What's new and/or interesting on TV this week. 20/20 (Wed; 9PM-11PM; ABC) - A special episode examining seven ways the world could end (specifically, things that could wipe out civilization), how likely they are to happen, and what we could do to stop them. So, you know, if you feel like you're not worried about enough things, tune in! (Link) Justice (Wed; 9PM-10PM; Fox) - The debut episode of a new Jerry Bruckheimer legal drama......
