a few months ago. So imagine our delight when we discovered that they'd be at Johnny Brenda's tonight. And that they wouldn't be alone, but that they'd actually be with the rather kick-ass band The Comas, who we've only just gotten into but we've discovered we totally dig.

As we predicted, it was a packed house at last night’s Incubus concert at the Electric Factory. And it the crowd was a weird mix, too – a lot of people who think Incubus is just the best band ever (we’re going to guess that these folks also rocked out to Creed back in the day and maybe today, too), fans of Albert Hammond, Jr.’s more mellow music, and a lot of drunk teenagers.

By now you’ve probably heard of Nouvelle Vague, the French band covering songs of the English new wave in the loungey style of Brazilian bossanova. They’re on the stereo at your hipster friends’ parties, they’re showing up on every list as one of the best breakout albums of the summer, and most recently, they’re on the soundtrack for a T-Mobile commercial. And now the band is bound for World Café Live, the Philadelphia stop on their American tour.
