The latest poll in Pennsylvania shows Hillary Clinton's lead against Obama shrinking, and also suggests that regardless of which candidate wins the Democratic primary, he or she will have a close, tough fight against John McCain. Meanwhile, the Montgomery County Democratic Committee is meeting tonight to choose candidates for the April 22nd primary, and they just might endorse a presidential candidate, too.
Frank Funaro, who runs a nightclub and a real estate business on South Street in Philadelphia, was robbed of $40,000 yesterday morning at his home in Washington Township, New Jersey. A gunman, apparently deliberately targeting the family, was hiding in the backseat of the car when Funaro's wife went out to drive her son to school. He forced the two back into the house and demanded money. Police received a 911 hang-up call from the home and responded, but the family told them everything was all right because at that point the robber was still hiding in the closet. Minutes after the officers left, the gunman fled in a blue minivan, and police received another call. When they returned they found the family upset, but otherwise unharmed. Another wrinkle in the federal investigation into the activities of City Councilman Jack Kelly and his staff: the estranged wife of his chief of staff is providing information to authorities in the case.
The search for John Lewis, the suspect in the murder of Officer Chuck Cassidy, is over. Police apprehended him at a homeless shelter in Miami at 7AM. They tracked him down after learning that a relative had bought a bus ticket to Miami for him.
Pacifico Ford in Philadelphia and Springfield Ford in Delco have made an agreement with the government to reimburse African African customers who allegedly were charged higher interest rates than white buyers. Neither of the Ford dealerships are admitting any wrongdoing, but, hey, they're also paying up, so...
A Philadelphia official is the subject of an ethics review?? We can't imagine why.

A Philadelphia Phillie is in the limelight of an event that spans all of Major League Baseball – and this time it’s not in the context of the MLB 2006 game you’ve been playing on your Playstation 2. Last night, Bobby Abreu shocked the entire baseball community – fans, players, himself -- when he won the 2005 Homerun Derby. It was surreal watching Abreu come up to bat first and crush ball after ball into the right-field stands.
