Valentine's Day is only a few days away, and we here across the Gothamist network wanted to express would like to tell you, in the spirit of the holiday, just how much we love you, our readers. This has nothing at all to do with Philadelphia, but as Thursday is celebrity day, we wanted to take a moment to inform our readers that Anna Nicole Smith, long-time butt of jokes on "This Week in Celebrity..." collapsed earlier today in a Florida hotel, and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Philadelphia was the site of one of several Live 8 concerts this past Summer, and Anna Nicole Smith's appearance at the show in the City of Brotherly Love has prompted a lawsuit. Apparently, Smith showed up "intoxicated and scantily clad" and Trimspa failed to pay organizers a promotional fee in the amount of $320,000.
