FAQ
- Can anyone write for Phillyist? No. But we'd love to hear from you if you are interested. Phillyist is always looking for new contributors who can make the site even better. So if you are a writer or blogger and you think you have something to add to Phillyist, please send us an email that explains why you should be part of the Phillyist team. Be sure to direct us to some examples of your writing, as well.
- I have an event I would like to publicize. Can I send Phillyist a press release? Sure! Email us your stuff and if we think your event deserves mention in Phillyist, we will write about it. We also recommend that you add your event to the Philadelphia events calendar over at Upcoming.org. It's free to do so and that's the events calendar Phillyist uses. Please note that you must add your event to the calendar yourself -- we won't do it for you. (Sorry.)
- Where do I send news tips, gossip, rumors or anything else I think the fine people at Phillyist should know about? Email us. We'd love our readers to be our eyes and ears in the city. If one of your tips makes it onto the site, we'll give you credit for the scoop. If you're not so concerned about getting credit, you can leave us an anonymous tip here.
- My business would like to advertise on Phillyist. Can we? You bet. Prospective advertisers should contact Jake Dobkin, the site's publisher.
- I have a website about Philadelphia but I don't see it listed under "LINKS." What gives? It's possible we simply haven't heard of your site, so tell us about it. But our link list is not an exhaustive list. We only link to sites we like and we think our readers might like, too. And if we link to you, it would be cool if you could link back to us, as well.
- What are the buildings included in the Phillyist logo? From left, they are: the Liberty Bell, Mellon Bank Center, One Liberty Place, and City Hall. The logo was designed by Neil Epstein
- Does it bother you that the word "Phillyist" does not have three consecutive vowels in it? Somewhat, yes.
