- Over the past three days there have been three severe dog attacks in Philadelphia. On Friday, someone nearly lost their hand. On Saturday, a woman was mauled to death. Yesterday, a 10-year-old boy suffered seroius injuries to his right arm and puncture wounds on various other parts of his body.
- A two-year-old girl was abandoned at a Shell gas station in Newark, Delaware yesterday. Authorities are trying to identify the toddler's parents and why she was left locked in a bathroom.
- A Sunday morning blaze ripped through Gamble-Huff headquarters on Broad and Spruce Streets. The fire has been deemed "suspicious" which is troubling considering the musical legends who have recorded there such as Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle, and Teddy Pendergrass.
- Despite remaining bankrupt, Brian Tierney says that the attitude around the office is "oddly exhilarating, because what we are fighting for is real improvement, and I feel the papers are better today than in 2006 when we took over." Lenders, obviously, don't see it so sweetly.
- Allen Iverson has been deemed out "indefinitely" so that he can tend to his daughter's illness. Iverson has missed many games, including the All-Star Game, for the same reason. Can't fault a man for tending to his ailing family members.
