South Philly boys Tony Trov and Johnny Zito have a brand new comic published on Comixology—all about a masked vigilante named Moon Girl. Together with the artist Rahzzah, Temple grads Trov and Zito have brought this Golden Age heroine a whole new generation. Moon Girl was originally created by Gardner Fox for EC Comics, and spent several years in obscurity in the public domain before she was rescued and redressed. So who are Moon Girl's enemies? The bourgeois of 1950's New York!

"Champion of the counter-culture, Moon Girl represents a movement of young people fed up with the corporatism and conformity of post World War II opulence. The urban legends of Moon Girl inspire the 'Super Manifesto'—a post human gospel," says Trov.

"Fundamentalists subvert the establishment by dressing in bright Technicolor clothes and taking futuristic new names," says Zito. "Extremists turn to violence and terror, expecting to shock the system into change. Only Moon Girl stands between them and us, anarchy and order."

The comic is available from Comixology, for iPhone and iPad platforms. For more information visit MoonGirlFightsCrime.com
