- David Headley, a/k/a Daood Gilani, is at the center of a global terrorism investigation. Headley has roots in Philadelphia as his mother is from this fair city and was the owner of the Khyber Pass.
- Rishawn "Bean" Morrison was sentenced to six to 23 months of home confinement for cruelty to animals. Morrison set an 8-week-old cat on fire. The cat survived, but later died due to its injuries.
- Swarthmore native Henry Spelman was awarded with a Rhodes Scholarship and will study in Oxford next fall. To sweeten the deal, his girlfriend was also awarded a Rhodes Scholarship—officially making them the smartest couple ever.
- Ed Rendell and Chris Christie met in Bucks County to discuss various issues that involve Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Among the issues discussed was how to attract more businesses to the region.
- Closing arguments and deliberations were postponed in the trial of Officer Chuck Cassidy's killer, John "Jordan" Lewis. They will resume tomorrow.
