- The city is expected to end its fiscal year $31 million in the red. It's not looking as bad as it did at this point last year, but it's clear that Philly is far from economic stability.
- The Phillies have declined to pick up Pedro Feliz's $5.5 million option. Although the team could attempt to negotiate a new deal with the hot-fielding/poor-hitting Feliz, it's more likely that the Fightin's will try to grab a new third baseman from the free agent market.
- Speaking of potential Phillies' off-season moves, J.P. Ricciardi is out and Alex Anthopoulos is in as GM of the Blue Jays. With that change, and Roy Halladay now a half-season closer to free agency, might the Blue Jays lower the trade price for Halladay enough that the Phillies will take a run at trading for him?
- The Sixers allowed Steve Nash to go absolutely nuts on them last night in a 119-115 loss to the Suns. Nash went for 21 points and 20 assists for Phoenix.
