- Maryland rockers The Dangerous Summer and North Carolina's Mercy Mercedes will be doing an emo-riffic double bill at the Troc (1003 Arch St.) balcony bar. Between the Trees (MySpace) and Single File (MySpace) will also perform. 7 p.m., all ages, $12.
- Folk-rockers The Bridge (MySpace) and progressive bluegrass outfit Cornmeal (MySpace) should make for an entertaining evening at World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut St.). 8:30 p.m., all ages, $10.
- It's open mic night at Helium Comedy Club (2031 Sansom St.), so head on down for some good laughs from local talent. Sign-ups begin at 6, the performers' list is posted at 7:30, and the laughs begin at 8. 21+, free.
