• Maryland rockers The Dangerous Summer and North Carolina's Mercy Mercedes will be doing an emo-riffic double bill at the Troc (1003 Arch St.) balcony bar. Between the Trees (MySpace) and Single File (MySpace) will also perform. 7 p.m., all ages, $12.
• Folk-rockers The Bridge (MySpace) and progressive bluegrass outfit Cornmeal (MySpace) should make for an entertaining evening at World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut St.). 8:30 p.m., all ages, $10.
• It's open mic night at Helium Comedy Club (2031 Sansom St.), so head on down for some good laughs from local talent. Sign-ups begin at 6, the performers' list is posted at 7:30, and the laughs begin at 8. 21+, free.
• Tonight's Quizzo is at: El Camino Real (1040 N. 2nd Street), starting at 9; Fergie's (1214 Sansom Street), starting at 9:30; Liberties (705 N. 2nd St.), starting at 9; and Rembrandt's (741 N. 23rd Street), starting at 9.
