Phillyist's quick-picks for your evening agenda.
- Perhaps the most-hyped thing in music right now, aside from Them Crooked Vultures, is the aptly-named Monsters of Folk (MySpace) collaboration of Conor Oberst, M. Ward, Mike Mogis, and My Morning Jacket's Jim James. The Monsters will be at the Academy of Music (Broad & Locust) tonight. The Academy has also just released a limited number of $20 tickets for the show, so get on that! 8 p.m., all ages, $40.50-$50.50 (unless you get lucky and scoop up one of the $20 at the previous link).
- Indie-emo rockers The Graduate headline a special all-ages show at the North Star (27th & Poplar) tonight, with PM Today, The Morning Of, Linden, and The Hoodies also to perform. 7 p.m., all ages, $12.
- Tonight's Quizzo is at the New Wave Café (784 S. 3rd Street), starting at 9; and Ray's Happy Birthday Bar (1200 E. Passyunk Ave.), starting at 9.
