- The Phillies were unable to pull off a stellar comeback as the Yankees won their 27th World Series title, mostly thanks to six—yes, six—RBIs last night from Series MVP Hideki Matsui. The great thing about baseball, though: barely three months til pitchers and catchers report for the 2010 season.
- There's any number of words you could use to describe Local 234 President Willie Brown, but this one says it all: "the most hated man in Philadelphia."
- A Levittown couple was found dead in their home Tuesday, the result of an apparent murder suicide committed by the husband. The couple was set to appear for a divorce hearing Monday, but it's unclear whether the hearing actually occurred.
- Two young men were killed in shooting incidents last night, one in Castor and one in Brewerytown.
