- The woman who allegedly put herself up for sale to get World Series tickets says she didn't offer sex. Either way, she got two tickets from Chio.
- A police chase in Southwest Philadelphia ended with a violent crash. Two men were taken into custody.
- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has thrown out thousands of cases tried by former Judge Mark A. Ciavarella. The Luzerne County judge was allegedly involved in a "kickback" scheme.
- Mayor Nutter has delcared a public health emergency to assist with increases in emerency room visits related to the H1N1 flu pandemic. The emergency will permit Philadelphia hospitals to add alternative spaces and volunteers.
- The Coast Guard is still searching for Joel Arizza in the Delaware River near Marcus Hook. Arizza's boat capsized and authorities believe he was not wearing a life jacket. Another passenger, Kevin Kelly, swam to shore and was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
