The film industry is clearly running scared of Halloween and Major League Baseball. Don't waste your time at the movies—nothing good to see there anyway. Trick-or-Treating, costume parties, and Phillies games rule this weekend.
Antichrist
We're seeing Lars von Tier and "art house horror." We're seeing two solid actors playing characters named "He" and "She" a la Ionesco's The Chairs. And we're seeing a special "anti-award" at Cannes for a controversial misogynistic view-point. But are we seeing Antichrist this weekend? Um, hell no. Haven't you noticed, we're kind of into this whole World Series thing?

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day
Is anyone really still waiting for the Boondock Saints sequel? They say he who hesitates is lost. We say he who goes to see All Saints Day gets a face full of mega violence... and probably not much else.

Michael Jackson's This Is It
This is directed by that High School Musical dude. No, not the one with the cool hair. No, not the other one with the cool hair. And no, not the one with the weird hair who can dance. (Sorry, but when your character has 50 different hats it means someone is trying to cover up your weird hair.) We mean the Asian choreographer/evil mastermind/director one - aka - Kenny Ortega - aka - the genuis behind a singing, dancing Christain Bale in Newsies. The man knows his way around his music movies (and we just shamefully admitted to knowing our way around some very tween trivia). This is also only open for 2 weeks. But don't worry MJ fans, you'll be able to get all the concert footage plus some on DVD or Blu-ray faster than you can put together an authentic Thriller costume.
