- A federal bankruptcy judge has ruled to open up the Inquirer's auction bids to its seniors lenders with more than $300 million in secured debt. This move would allow for any non-local lenders to the paper to buy out Philadelphia Newspapers LLC. Brian Tierney pledges to continue to fight for his employees.
- Moon shots! (And not from Matt Stairs.) This is not an Onion article, people. NASA actually sent a spacecraft straight into the moon to look for water, our most precious resource.
- North Catholic and Cardinal Dougherty will close in June due to continually low enrollment. Dougherty once capped out at 6,000 students, the world's largest Catholic highschool at that time, now enrolls about 600. The schools will not be merging together, merely shutting their doors. The schools notified their students this morning.
- Oh, right, and SugarHouse broke ground yesterday...
