- A Grays Ferry man has turned himself in to police after shooting his own son three times during an argument.
- A hedge fund executive from New Jersey fell to his death from an escalator at the Pier Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City.
- The Phillies finally managed to reduce their magic number to three with a 6-5 win over the Brewers, despite the best efforts of Ryan Madson to blow the save in the ninth.
- Michael Vick took his first real-game snaps as an Eagle yesterday—uneventfully—in the Birds' 34-14 rout of the Chiefs. The team didn't really miss Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook, who sat out the game with injuries. Kevin Kolb and Brent Celek both stepped up and had excellent games. (Of course, it helps that they were playing the Chiefs.)
