Misplaced Apostrophe at Black Sheep

A few weeks ago, several Phillyists convened at The Black Sheep Pub in Rittenhouse for some good ol' fashioned Johnny Goodtimes Quizzo. We came in second and caught a lot of ex post facto ire for our team size—but that's neither here nor there. This post is about the menu at the Black Sheep, which was full of grammatical errors. This one may have been the most egregious, not just because of the use of a possessive rather than a plural, but because of its proximity to the correct pluralization.

For the last time, folks, the only time you should have an apostrophe in your plural is if you're the Oakland A's—when the apostrophe stands in for the rest of the word "Athletics."

Proofreading Philly tries to capture typos, wordos, and all other kinds of grammatical mistakes that we see around the city. But we need your help! Email photos to us from your computer or your phone, and show the city that you care about good grammar.
