- Tonight's PLAF selections: Other People's Money by Wellbilt Theater Factory, at 7 at the Walnut Street Theatre Independence Studio on 3 (825 Walnut St.); Eliza and Patsy by Colleen O'Brien and Janice Erickson Smith, at 7 & 9 at the Powel House (244 S. 3rd St.); and Big Fun! by Vaudevillains New Years Brigade, at 8 at the Barbary (951 Frankford Ave.).
- "Carnival-pop" outfit fun. (MySpace), whose album Aim and Ignite has been getting some heavy work on this Phillyist's iPod, will be at the North Star (27th & Poplar) with Phillyist favorite hipster-rockers Miniature Tigers. 7 p.m., all ages, $15.
