- Mayor Nutter announced yesterday that Philadelphia would accept a $275 million load from J.P. Morgan Chase &Co. The money will be used to repay debts to contractors from whom the city has been withholding payment to conserve cash.
- Pennsylvania will soon be the last state in the nation conducting business without a budget. A conference committee met yesterday and agreed to further discuss the budget crisis in PA.
- Vince Fumo has a "friend" in Ashland, Kentucky. Milton Street is also imprisoned at the same institution.
- Police are seeking Christopher Reeve in connection with the murder of a Delaware police officer last night and the wounding of another officer. Reeve should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have information, call Troop 4 at 1-302-856-5850 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
- Cole Hamels tossed a complete game, two-hitter yesterday in the Phillies' 1-0 win over the San Francisco Giants. To add to his mastery, Hamels even stole a base in the fifth inning.
